Several members of Project Nourish have been involved in supporting missionary organizations in Haiti for many decades. Through this, we have been blessed to form lasting friendships with local communities.
In January 2010, a devastating earthquake struck Haiti, prompting a Haitian friend to contact Karl Vanderhoof, co-founder of Project Nourish, for urgent aid in the remote mountain village of Cabois. Due to its isolated location, the village received little outside support.
We dispatched a team to Haiti in June 2010 to assess the needs firsthand. Inspired by what we witnessed, we founded Project Nourish with the mission to nourish the spirit, soul, and body of individuals in Haiti's impoverished communities.
Today, our efforts are centered in Haiti, where we are working to realize our vision: "A healthy world, devoid of poverty, where families thrive," starting in Cabois.
